  • Make cards or assemble party favors for The Birthday Party Project (a non-profit bringing joy to children experiencing homelessness through the magic of birthday celebrations).

  • Leave cold drinks out for the delivery drivers, trash collector, and others working in the hot elements. People serve us every day but often go unnoticed. Leave them a kind note, a popsicle, or a cooler full of water

  • Donate a fan. Why not take them to an elderly day care or another center that serves those in need?

  • Shop for school supplies (great deals at Walmart this week) to donate to a shelter or organization collecting for those trying to make ends meet

  • Go on a cleanup hike. See how much trash you collect while you're adventuring

  • Bring treats to the caregivers in your community. Elderly Care facilities and School Districts are a great start

  • Volunteer at an animal rescue. With heat at the levels we're experiencing, animals need exercise outside of the typical walking on sidewalks. So, fill out a form and get ready for some playtime.

  • Leave out water and bird feed for the birds in your neigborhood. be sure to replace water every couple of days so not to cause pest problems

  • Reconnect with someone - call an old friend, or relative

  • For you, take a break, drink water, read a book, Selfcare is required if you're going to help others effectively
